From developing critical, ethical, and effective use of AI tools to applying AI in research, teaching, and geospatial analysis, they prepare students and scholars to navigate and shape the evolving AI landscape.

Victoria Dawkins
Victoria Dawkins is an assistant professor in the School of Information Studies, focusing on information literacy in the humanities and social sciences. She has integrated an AI-focused project into ILS 100, helping students develop foundational skills for using AI in research and learning.

Michael Fosmire
Michael Fosmire is a professor in the School of Information Studies and a librarian in the Science and Engineering Libraries. He has incorporated AI instruction into ILS 230, supporting students in critically and effectively engaging with emerging AI technologies in science and engineering.

Samantha LeGrand
Samantha LeGrand is a clinical assistant professor and instruction librarian who integrates AI-focused projects into courses such as ILS 195 and ILS 230. She leads Partners for Algorithmic Literacy (PAL), promoting critical, ethical, and collaborative learning with AI in the classroom.

Jing Lu
Jing Lu is a clinical assistant professor and AI literacy specialist, focusing on teaching and research around the application of AI in education and research. She works with students and faculty to integrate AI tools and practices into learning environments to foster effective and critical use of AI.

Zoe Mayhook
Zoe Mayhook is an assistant professor and business librarian specializing in AI literacy and emerging technologies. She teaches courses such as ILS 395, guiding students to develop critical, ethical, and effective skills for using AI tools in academic and professional contexts.

Innocensia Owuor
Innocensia Owuor is a clinical assistant professor and GIS specialist who integrates AI tools into ILS 250: Introduction to Geographic Information Systems, enhancing students’ spatial analysis and problem-solving skills. Her research combines AI-driven analysis with geospatial and crowdsourced data to study environmental and societal patterns.

Gang Shao
Gang Shao is an associate professor applying AI, machine learning, and data science to environmental, agricultural, and text-based research. He leads an IMLS-funded project creating AI training for librarians, advancing AI literacy in library services.

Spencer Stewart
Spencer Stewart is an assistant professor whose research uses computational approaches and AI-driven methods in digital humanities and text analysis. He applies AI to uncover linguistic, cultural, and agricultural trends in historical datasets, particularly related to modern China.
