ILS 231: Information Strategies for Using AI
This course helps students engage with artificial intelligence through the lenses of information and AI literacy. Students learn how AI tools work, how to research and evaluate AI outputs, and how to ethically apply AI in academic and professional contexts.

ILS 230: Data Science and Society
This writing-intensive course explores the ethical, legal, and social issues (ELSI) surrounding data science. Students engage with interdisciplinary frameworks to examine the impact of data science on society through both individual and collaborative projects.

Partners for Algorithmic Literacy (PAL)
Explore, collaborate, and co-create the future of teaching and learning at Purdue. PAL brings together students and instructors in a six-week learning community to discuss and navigate the ethical, social, and educational implications of algorithmic technologies like AI and chatbots. Participants build inclusive, AI-informed classroom practices, share perspectives, and design solutions together—all while strengthening student-faculty relationships and gaining unique professional experience.
